Birth Wellness Midwifery
I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) offering out-of-hospital birth services in Chattanooga and the surrounding area. Caring for mothers and babies and providing family centered care is my passion as a midwife. I help women to achieve their birth goals by providing prenatal and birth education, evidence based care, shared decision making, and informed consent.
I received my midwifery training through an accredited midwifery program and a three-year apprenticeship under the direction of an experienced midwife, my mother. I graduated with an Associates of Science in Midwifery from the National College of Midwifery in 2019, completed the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) exam, and became licensed in the state of Tennessee to practice midwifery as a CPM-TN. My mother retired from the practice, and the time-honored tradition of passing midwifery skills from mother to daughter was complete.
I am passionate about education, prevention, and the creation of a nurturing environment and view my profession as a service to women from all walks of life. I believe and practice the Midwifery Model of Care, which focuses on the normalcy of pregnancy and its potential for health. Birth is viewed as a natural process that has profound meaning and should be treated as normal until there is evidence of a problem.
